From Complaint to Craft
Before there was a range, there was a complaint: the available pretzels felt lackluster. Boston founders answered it in 2018 by establishing Eastern Standard Provisions, an artisanal food brand. They pictured a soft pretzel with buttery chew, a brioche-like center and a traditional Bavarian crust. The mission they attached to that idea was to "elevate the snack food experience." The company identifies Waltham, MA as its headquarters.
The recipe translates the founders’ texture target into specific choices. Soft pretzels are handcrafted with high-quality ingredients and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. A light and airy brioche-style interior sits inside the firmer character of a traditional Bavarian-style crust.
